Teefax Reunion 2015

An Absent Friend... Anyone who had ever had the pleasure of knowing Geoff Major would certainly agree that he was one of the warmest and friendliest people to have graced the earth. He had an fantastic sense of humor and an ever present “Cheeky” grin on his face. He was a people person and he loved meeting them, he often willingly playing tour guide for anyone visiting his home city of London. He had a passion for life and for the things that he loved most and for what he held so dear... He loved movies and TV, including the Carry On series, Doctor Who, Big Brother and Friday the 13th. He even appeared on the Graham Norton show a number of times - once dressed as Michael Myers! He loved music the most, and owned a collection anyone would have been envious of. Everything from Madonna (whom he named his beloved Parrot “Maddie” after) to Prince to Duran Duran and to his most favorite - the Thompson Twins. He was a stalwart fan, he had all of the latest news, the whisperings and the gossip on past members and what they were now up to. Information he willingly shared with the fan community via CD-Rom’s, CD’s, videos, websites, message boards, and very long telephone conversations. It was a real shock when he passed away on the 24th September 2012 from a massive asthema attack whilst still weakened by a bad case of pneumonia. Tributes from his many friends including glamour model and singer Samantha Fox and members of the New Zealand band Stellar* (produced by Tom Bailey) were left on his facebook page! Its so sad to think that for someone who flew the flag so passionately for the band that his has been the ever absent face among the crowds that have flocked to experience Tom Bailey’s return. Something Geoff would have been so excited about. Nothing and no one would have been able to keep him away! Just before Tom’s warm up show in Reading, Geoff’s sister agreed to place one of the communities t-shirts by his graveside. Just to make him feel he was still part of what was going on and to show him that the fan community were still thinking of him! He would have been thrilled to be part of the Teefax Reunion weekend in December 2015 - and those who did attend are so pleased that the funds raised for the Sue Ryder Charity have been donated in his memory!
